Conversion Tables
In the world of quilting we usually operate under the Imperial system of measurement, with quilt blocks made up in inches, and fabrics bought by the yard. We realise this can be confusing at times when large parts of the world are now working on a Metric system of measurement, with centimetres and metres and so we have put together this quick "ready reckoner" to help you convert quilting measurements when you need to.
It is important to have a good understanding of how these two measurement systems convert, so that you make sure you buy enough fabric to finish your quilt, and that your blocks finish up the correct size!
